Before discussing what is "I Think. U Decide." all about, I, from the core of my heart want to thank all the readers who gave a part of their precious time in reviewing and appreciating my very first article "Priorities or Humanity?" Thank you readers and bloggers:) !!
"I Think. U Decide." is an inspiration from many stories happened and happening around the world. It's a summarization of many small incidents that could have happened to you too. I don't say it's happening to everyone but I believe there are few people surviving like me too on this beautiful but competitive planet.
When I was little, I was never asked to think.I was simply told the final verdict! When I cleared my 10th, I was asked by my father to think and choose the stream I want to study further. He also added one more statement that time-Beta,jo tum padhna chahti ho, wahi bolna, socho Aram se!(Translation- My daughter, think and say only what you feel like studying further) I didn't take much time and told him that I want to take arts and compete NIFT. BOOM!!Here Came the very first explosion of my life!! Ultimately , I ended up taking science because arts is not a field for a 90+ percentage holder in Bihar. Sarcastic. Why am I asked to think and tell what I want to do everytime when the final decision is never going to be mine? Why can't I decide what's good for me? I am not saying parents decide wrong stuffs for their children but what's the importance of the decision being right when the children feel the burden and suffocate?
Trust is the basis of life and support is the framework. It's not necessary that everytime what you decide for your child is going to do good for his/her future. Some children are good in music, some are good in science. While some love dancing, others hold a passion for designing. Why to make and create complications? Why to dream your failures as successes in their life?
The five fingers in your hand are not possessing the same length. Likewise, every person is different and holds some talent or the other. Stop forcing, start supporting and see the little caterpillar, with your support and little hardwork, growing into a butterfly with rainbow colors!
"Never make them feel hesitate on how they want their steaks to be done.Support their zest as zest is the secret of all beauty ,be it this world or the other!"
Be a guide, please, instead of being a planner.Let your children struggle in the way they want.Success doesn't matter, happiness and satisfaction do!!

Though the article holds good sense and intentions, the way the thoughts are pondered upon is a wee bit off track from the subtle expressions of the previous article. Anyways, thumbs up for the thoughts and the article.
ReplyDeleteYes,it's off track from the previous one because the subject is different:) it's not about priorities or Humanity but it's about the zest of ur dream, the interest of a person in making his/her dream an aim and what actually is happening and how the dreams are replaced with a force that's thought to be for his/her good but actually is a suffocatiOn:) this article is about those children who are not supported but are expected from!
