Stereotypical World,Give Stereotypes a break!

We believe in bringing changes in big stuffs. We talk about dense heavy issues. We promote Secularism . We want Humanity to live and grow in every heart with strong roots. We protest against every Societal evil. How do  we forget stereotypes? How do we loose marks in that region? You must be thinking what she is talking about? She just wrote her previous article on a stereotypical issue only."FEMINISM!"
Yes,I am very well known to what I wrote and I don't deny it. But, I am not talking about big, dense, bulky and "known-realised" issues here! I am not talking about integrated , politically spiced -up and already media - promoted issues . I am talking about those issues which are differentiated in the form of persons but integrated in the form of common mindsets. I am talking about what you converse, feel, discuss and think daily.  Still not getting? Don't worry,if you already had any idea, then why the hell would I be writing to you.
Let me give you a very next-to-door or how about only your door's example? Be truthful, how many of you hold on to the fact that people who study medical science have a bad writing? I bet everyone of you.No offense, I used to believe this too because I have a bad handwriting and I had biology as my main subject till my 12th grade. My father used to say that I am going to be a doctor as I have a bad handwriting.I disagreed to the fact few days back when I went to a clinic and my friend got shocked because the medical slip given to her was well-written! And moreover the doctor proudly said " I AM A DOCTOR AND I HAVE A GOOD HANDWRITING." This is one of the small common stereotype I am talking about guys.  Yes, I know many of you say it's an exceptional case but it's not! The New generation shouldn't be compared with the old-school.Earlier,it was used to be followed because the myth was their. Can't you see an example of any of your friend studying medical yet having a good handwriting? There are, trust me! Second small stereotype if I give you is about artists being unemployed. Oh,please! Do change this one.  If artists contribute to be unemployed people, tell me who is Victoria Beckham,Zuhair Murad,Manish Malhotra,Chetan Bhagat,Paulo Coelho etc. These are art people belonging to different fields of art,Are they unemployed? To go on more smaller scale, the cartoonist whose drawing you reviewed today in your morning news paper, Is he/she unemployed? Third small stereotype, people who study science can't be designers! Dude,I am doing engineering and I am a fashionista. Moreover,I design too! My own cousin had completed engineering and now is doing internship in fashion designing.  She proudly says, " I COMPLETED MY ENGINEERING AND I AM A FASHION DESIGNER."  Another example if I show you is about actors and actresses. It is a belief that those who aren't brilliant in studying and are brainless, they act! Holy crap! How many of you are Emma Watson's or Shahrukh Khan's fan?Go Google it,   you would find about their brain IQ level and in related searches, find about others too!
I don't say everyone out there thinks the same but yes, I do say many more common small stereotypes like these you do believe too. A South Indian can't speak Hindi,Punjabis love YoYo Honey Singh,Biharis can't speak English(btw,I am a Bihari and I don't think I have a bad English.), British still hate Indians,Kashmiris are terrorists( My inspiration is a Kashmiri girl and trust me she is damn good as a human being. I am not scared of her even.) and many more like this. These stereotypes are although small yet common and needs a change. Whether small or big, stereotypes are stereotypes! I believe in breaking stereotypes :)

  3. Did you just use the term "Old-School" ? :P
Anyways, a pretty cool article with moderate(d) expressions and nicely compiled. Though the writer seems to say it is not a politically spiced or much pondered upon idea by the media, if analysed carefully, all problems in the present world have their roots traced back to the stereotypical mindset of Humans. Keep writing. Kudos!

  5. I appreciate your article but I disagree with some of your mentioned examples. Nobody says that Kashmiris are terrorists..they are facing terrorism in their life. And doctors do not have bad handwriting, they just choose to write badly. This is not a conscious decision to confuse people, but an unintentional consequence of viewing other things as more important in the moment

    1. Don't consider one or few people, see as the whole. Kashmiris in vision of people are seen as terrorists because they are Muslims! I, myself, have heard these words not from one, two,or three persons but from a majority! I don't know in what sort of world u Live as u r far away from the stereotypical World which is way too realistic. And regarding the point mentioned for the stereotype for a doctor,I think u didn't read the article with concentration. I mentioned the word "myth" which is being followed. It simply means the choice you follow. As a whole the myth is now a stereotype. Doctors do write well but the new school.
P.s. Don't just read and try to criticize if u can't put valid points Sir.:D
